How to find the Question Behind the Question

A friend of mine recommended this book some months ago and it sat on my desk waiting for me to "find" the time to read it. I only wish I had read it immediately! This tiny book has a very powerful message. If you go to page 18 you will find the very simple guidelines for creating a QBQ:

"Begin with "What" or "How" (not "Why", "When" or "Who")"

Contain an "I" (not "they", "them", "we" or "you")"

Focus on action

The book is full of engaging stories and anacdotes designed to entertain as well as teach. It encourages the reader to look at how they can improve a situation, and be a part of the solution, not part of the problem. The book asks you to practice personal accountability both at work and home, embrace change, take responsibility for your own actions and in doing so lead a fuller happier life.
